What do you think of Nancy Pelosi's visit to Syria? Regardless of your political views, do you not agree that this trip might not be safe? There are so many terrorists groups that I fear for her being attacked, killed or even taken hostage.

I would expect the opposite. She is in direct opposition to Bush which makes her much more valuable alive. I am very much anti-Bush and anti-terrorism and unlike Bush see the terrorist leadership as a very smart group of people. They want the U.S. out of their region so why would they kill someone who is working to make that happen. They are very in-tune with our political processes and killing Pelosi would only work against them.

You do have a point, most of them are very smart. But there are a few groups out there that would like nothing better than to kill ANY American. They have that much of a hatred for us.

I too am concerned. I would be afraid to go anywhere overseas right now. It is a scary place to live now and only getting worse. I think all Americans are smart to be on alert no matter where we may be.

Yes, they should be. My son is going to the Philippines in June on a mission trip. They have been advised to only travel in groups.
