Grindhouse

I consider Quentin Tarantino to be a genius but I was just wondering if anyone has seen Grindhouse yet, could you tell me your thoughts? I want to make sure it's at least getting good praises before spending money to see it at the theatre.

I've not seen it yet and I have heard mixed reviews about it but Tarantino really is a genius and I personally think the movie looks really good....If I'm not mistaken too its not supposed to be looked at as a serious movie (for lack of a better way of putting it)..its more of a spoof on the old double creature features etc from back in the day at the drive ins etc.....i could be wrong on that but that was the impression I got....In any case I cant wait to check it out

I think it's more of a hommage to the grindhouse double feature rather than a spoof. Rodriguez and Tarantino have a lot of respect for those types of movies. Just to add, the movie rocks!

I haven't heard any praises from "real people" yet, but I did see today that Grindhouse came in 4th at the box office this weekend so there should be $11 million worth of people who can hopefully answer that.

I love Tarantino as well. I havent been able to see Grindhouse yet (think 4 kids!) but on rottentomatoes, users have given it a 90% rating, which is awesome.
