according to 1 corinthians 13:4, love is patient, kind, without envy.. is love really that way or would you have other opinions with regards to it?

Hi brandonmagsino. If you analyze that particular scripture, each verse, you will be able to answer your own question. What is Love? Love - is patient. Look up the word patient. Love - is kind. Continue to read the verses to realize what that kind of love is and how important it is. Realize the love God has for you, and all of us, and that He wants us to experience that kind of love in all of our relationships. We are to love one another. We don't have to like their actions or things they beleive, but we love them just the same. That same love should be given to ourselves, from ourselves, because if we don't love ourselves first, we certainly can't love anyone else.

I don't think love is blind. We are. We are taught so often to be so negative about most things that it's very hard to come to a point in one's life when they can honestly trust in anything. Opening one's self up to the kind of love God offers is (for me) the most important lesson I've learned. He taught me first, that He loves me. He taught me then how to love myself. That taught me how to love everyone else. The most important thing being was His Love. It's a special kind of love. You have to experience it to know about it. Truly Awesome - and changes the way you look at everything.
