My mother tongue is Afrikaans, bet you have never heard of it:) My second language is English, battle a bit to really express myself in writing, but read and understand it very well, and since on MyLot the writing has improved alot! Then I understand a little bit isiZulu and Sesotho, but to speak it is very difficult. My country has 9 official languages. My brother is married to a Thai girl and she speaks Mandarin, she tried to teach me a few words but no I'll rather keep quite:)

Firstly, you certainly don't come across as someone who has trouble conversing English and your discussions are well put and written. In regards to other languages sadly I only know my native language which is English. I did study French but that was some time ago now and I am certainly not fluent sadly. I would love to learn another language, it is a talent and a great help in life if you can speak more than one language!

My first language is English, I'm an American. I also speak Spanish, although it's getting a little rusty. My family plans on learning my husband's native tongue, Portuguese. He never got to learn it, he isn't close to that side of the family.
