What do you consider interruptions? How do you handle them when you are working? Mailman, Phone ringing, kids screaming, dogs barking? What keeps you from your work and how do you return to peaceful surroundings.

In our house theres not very many interuptions, Although I have alot of children hanging out here with my own, I dont mind alot of noise as long as no ones crying or fighting one another. If my cell phone rings and Im working one of my chilren will take the call. I dont let anything interupt me. Once I set my mind to it thats it really. lol now if I had my grandma around then it would be challenging.

You have a good work ethic Nardz13. Wish I could say the same for me.

I consider an interuption anything that stops me writing. Things that are avoidable such as the tv are easy to deal with, you just switch it off. The others such as people coming in an interupting me I can easyly ingnore them and get back to my writing, so interuptions are not much of a problem.

I'm like you shadowwriter. Interruptions aren't a big thing to me. I sit in my office, alone, and the only noise I have to deal with is the hummmmmmmmm of the computer and my little fingers trying to keep up with my brain.

when i really need to get something done and don't want any interruptions, i send the kids out, take the phone off the hook and dive in. and if i can't take the phone off the hook and send the kids away, i don't allow any interruptions take me out of my peace of mind. i just handle what needs to be taken cared of and i go back to do what i was doing. it is all about keeping your mind set
