Do you sing in your car?

Do you sing along to the radio/cd/ipod in your car? What station do you listen to if you listen to the radio? Does your behavior change if ther are others present? My sister and I both listen to the R&B/Rap stations here in Austin in the car (and in the shower, lol). We sing along no matter who is in the car.

No, I don't sing in the car anymore. Mostly, now I live in the city, I find singing a distraction. The traffic is very bad here & I have to concentrate. I usually don't even have the radio on. My daughter has been known to sing in the car. My husband loves to have his radio, CD or ipod on, but as far as I know, he doesn't sing.

I live in the city as well. Now that you mention it, the radio is often silenced while cruising in those two-way streets that are really only passable by one car at a time.

Try and stop me from singing in the car. I always do it when I am alone or have my kids with. When my wife or someone else is along I try not to as it bothers her. Mostly because I cannot carry a tune to save my life.

Something about being in the car is so liberating, isnt it? Do your kids sing along as well?

Yea. They usually start the singing and then I join in.

Do I sing in the car?? Sometimes it's the only "noise" I can stand!! I have three little kids in the car with me, so we make up a lot of little tunes as the car goes. Sometimes we sing with the radio or the VeggieTale CD that's in the player, but to answer your question... yup, I sing in the car.

LOL! I was waiting for a "sing to keep them occupied" post:). I have an Aunt who makes mix CDs just to keep her kids occupied. Old 80's dancey stuff (whitney houston, cyndi lauper) and kid songs from veggie tales and disney movies. That way, they are all happy.

Oh yeah, I love singing along to the radio or a cd in the car! I don't care who's with me in the car or if anybody in any other cars around me can see me. It's a great stress reliever. I also sing in the shower. I mostly listen to the local rock station. ;o)

It is a good stress reliever, you are so right. It puts me in a good mood and helps me let go of some of the tension that I find comes with driving.
