receiving those stupid emails that say if you send this to a certain number of friends something will happen. Am I the only one that gets them? They are annoying and are deleted as soon as I see what they are. Why do people feel the need to send them on. I also get those stupid petitions that you enter you name and pass it on. When there are 1000 signatures you are to forward it to an email address. I have checked and they are always the wrong email address. I do my part and delete them. What do you do?

god i hate those.i never pass them on. i'd be guaranteed to have bad luck,alright..all my friends would be pissed at me!LOL i'll sign the petitions sometimes..but when i check them, people will use their user handle instead of their real name a lot of times,so even if it's legit, that invalidates many signatures off the bat right there.

I'm with ya on that one. I find it very annoying if it has some kid of joke or something interesting I will at least read it and if I do send it on I delete the part that says to forward it to say many people. If it's worth sending it on people will send it.

I get them all the time. I used to forward them on to other friends but nothing ever came true. That was in the days that I was desperate for something good to happen. Most of the time now, I delete them but I do read them first. Some of them have had some interesting stories or poems attached, and I liked the message but didn't like that it wanted me to send it to a certain amount of friends. So I will copy the story and send it to my friends that way without any obligations on their part. And I never have participated in those petition emails but I do get them.

Oh yes i get those too,and even from some of my friends.I just delete them and go on,i never pass them on as they wish.I do not send them things to my friends, but they send them to me.I do not like them either.I recieved one that said if i send it to 2 friends you would be rich in so many days and if you send it to 4 friends you would be rich in so many days...You would think people would know better than to send those...Oh and several times i got one and it said if i pass this on to so many friends ,that my phone would ring and goodnews was waiting at the other end...I just don't believe in that stuff, and like you i delete them asap..

Come on, you know very well that Bills Gates wishes to share his fortune. LOl I respond and tell them that Bill gates will not send you money no matter how many times you forward a darn email. What annoys me more if that they don't respect my privacy by using the BCC field.

I hate those emails as well. I have a friend who is constantly sending me chain emails, forwards, quizes and the like. I never respond and wish she would take a hint and stop. I know that most of what she is sending me are scams as I have checked quite a few of them out.

If it is something interesting, like a poem or story, I pass them on and sometimes delete the instructions. If it is just a "pass this on or else" I delete them.

Yes well I don't blame you being tired of those stupid emails as I normally recieve some of them as well I think that everybody on the computer does receive this kind of mail. So no you are not the only one that receives this kind of mail. I do my part and then I delete them the majority of these get deleted right away.

I'm with you there-- Delete- Give me bad luck or whatever- I don't usually even read them- I certainly don't forward them on to my friends-- I don't like them-- why would they? Besides I don't want them to get bad luck too-- lol I wish people would delete them instead of sending them to me- Sometimes I even e-mail back and say why?? quit sending me that crap!

You are not the only person who recieves these things and worse yet, some of my friends forward these things to me like they are doing me a big favor. I've learned to use my spam mail button a lot more now.

Yep, they really are annoying. Especially the ones that threaten you. I find that really funny. I just ignore them. as a rule. No sense in getting riled up in something as trivial as that.

I agree with you. I used to get the guilts and send them off to my poor friends in my address book, but now just delets them as they are like the junk mail you recieve in the regular mail! Also I agree that those petitions are rigged. I have no idea where half of them start but I think thwey are a way to get your address and send you more cr#$p

i always get something like that too! its really pretty annoying. its like chain texts. what's more annoying is when it says that if you pass it to your friends, something good will happen and if you do not, something bad will happen. its like a bad joke! i always delete chain mails like that.

Totally agree with you. There was this email that if you passed it on Bill Gates would give you money. Or some superstitious email that if you didn't pass on, something bad will happen to you. Totally ridiculous. I never believed them. Sometimes the stories are nice with a good moral lesson and I would read them, but I never passed them on.

chain mails are stupid and annoying. they're just trash on my email. i wonder why a lot of people forward those? they're just making themselves known to everyone for believing such stupid things. i delete them as soon as i get them.
