Mother or Father who is more dear/more important to childrens/kids?

I believe that both parents are equally important,They both have a huge role in the caring and upbringing of their children. Although the mother is usually the primary caregiver.She is the person who usually spends the most time with her children. while the father is working.The only time a child really has to make a choice as to who he or she prefers to live with,is in the case of a divorce and of course the child has to be of an age where thie decision is taken into consideration. If the child is well taken care of by both parents,he or she will love them equally , even if the child feels closer to one or the other.

i think both father and mother are important to kids..the mother who is always in the house giving the care for the kids, the mother is the one who washed the clothes, who take shower to the kids, who keep the mess of the kids, most of the time who change the diapers, who sweep the floor, i mean mothers are home buddies who makes the home a home for kids..on the other side, father is important too, because most of the time they are the one who make money to buy for the needs of the kids, to pay the bills, buy stuff for the family..i mean father is the one who makes the family survive from hunger and other things than can buy, but also some fathers are the one who also educate and also give love to their kids..

I can't say who's more dear in general so I will tell you my situation . . . My family has always been caring and loving to both me and my elder brother . . . so . . . I can't say who I love the most . I care about my mother and father the same , they are different persons , with different characters but I love them equal . I could never say I love one more than the other . . . But this is my situation . Unfortunately there are families where one of the parents or even both beat or give hard punishments to their children . . . and then "yes" the child could say " my parents aren't so dear to me " . . .

I really think Mother is more dear and important to kids, because she feels hurt whenever her child is in bad mood, she always make sure her child is doing well and if the child refuse to eat, she finds it so difficult to eat. I really think so. thanks and have a nice day.

For me, it's both. There are somethings that each of them can't do. They both have distinct responsibility to their child. In my opinion, although a mother's instincts are so strong but they both have to share their responsibity bec. it would make the child as a whole person. :)
