Has anyone been successful on Helium?

I've been on there since about the end of January. I haven't written very many articles-29, and I'm at $10.09 now. So not too bad I guess for not really working lol :) I tried getting into that contest they have going, and I don't know about that thing....I look at the same names at the top all the time, and one in particular, the articles just seem sooo professional, too professional if you ask me. They don't seem personal at all. I don't know how else to explain it. I'm a pretty well rounded person, and I write about the stuff I know-that's the easiest way to do it. But that one in particular just seems to know an awful lot about everything, in my opinion. But then one article, they totally blew the name of a well known rock album. So my guess is they're just reading info off of other sites, and then probably transposing one or two words-which would explain why their stuff looks way too professional and then pretty much copying the other article as their own. I would say borderline plagurism. I have no proof, so I'm not complaining to Helium or anything. I just stopped writing for the contest. Not to mention one article I wrote, was the first one to start on that topic, then some other lady came along and wrote the same thing I did, but changed a few words around-even had one line verbatim as mine, and then automatically goes in above me-that's how the system works. So looked like I copied her... Just got fed up with it. So, I'm not really sure if I recommend them anymore after seeing that cr*p. Just very discouraging....

I am at helium for about 10 months.Just happy to be there as more benefits will come with time.Requires patience.
