Have you ever witnessed the birth of puppies.

My dog gave birth to two litters now. Both times I missed it. She didn't make a sound. Have you ever witnessed a birth?

Yes, I have seen a couple of my dogs give birth to their puppies. It is a very unique experience and awsome to watch the new little lives come into this world. I have also seen my cats give birth. One dog I had gave birth to her puppies while she was walking around in the yard. She seemed not to know what was going on, but once one dropped out she would pick it up and bring it over to the box we made for her to have them in and clean them up. Then, she would once again start walking around until another came out and repeat the process. It was a very long stressful day for her, I am sure. She had 8 puppies, and they did not come all at once! Poor baby! But, she did great both at giving birth and as being a mother. She looked so sad the day we had to give them away and I felt horrible. I had her fixed then, so she wouldn't have to go through the heartbreak of her babies leaving again.

As bad as my female was about mothering, once they where old enough to play with she loved them. She went crazy every time we got rid of the pups. The first litter went slowly over a couple of weeks but the second litter (all 6) where gone in one night, she was devastated to find them all gone the next morning.

Wow, a remarkable story. I need to have my pretty Beagle fixed. I know what you mean when you felt horrible after giving the puppies away. My Arwin cried (or howled horribly) for days and kept searching for them among the blankets. I felt pathetic. We stroked her and hugged and that seemed to help.

Yes, I have seen my pet dog give birth to her puppies.
The dog was very fraightened.

I was there for the first litter of pups, it would have been more amazing if it wasn't the middle of the night and I didn't have a 2 month old son to tend to also. She was great at delivering but not a good mother. The second time I was at home with her but she had them outside and I didn't even know she had done it. Again great at having them not a good mother. She won't be doing it again, I am sick of raising puppies.

Oh, I know. You must have been tired beyond belief. I panicked trying to get rid of all those puppies until the neighborhood found out how pretty they were and we actually had to turn away neighbors after all the puppies were given away.

waouh i never witnessed a birth of dog before must be amazing. i withnessed cats birth my cat giving a birth of 5 cute kittens and after that she eats her blood coming uot of it and bath her children.im happy witnesing their birth.
