You generally get given a pamplet by the nurse when they give you your pills. Most of the side effects are those that you can associate with most tablets, asprin etc. Nausea, the runs, vomitting, headaches. Only be ware if you vomit they are rendered useless and also if you mix medication such as antibiotics witth then they are vois also.

When I took birth control pills I ate and ate and ate because I just had to eat. My appetite was WAY up there. I gained a lot of weight.

major side effects - blood clots, greater chance of heart attack and strokes. minor would be - nausea, weight gain. These are only some and women who are over 35 and smoke are at higher risk... I have no evidnce but apparently doctors do =)

It affects everyone in different ways, I dont know about major side affects, but common ones are weight gain, nausea and headaches. it all depends on the different person and the strength of which pill they are taking.
