I was watching the Washington weather and near here there are thunderstorms forecast for tomorrow afternoon, I love to watch the thunderstorm with the lightning and black clouds rolling across the sky. As a mater of fact I love almost any nature event like thunderstorms the northern lights Are my all time favorite.I have never seen a tornado or hurricane up close just pictures of them. A tornado took out a Texaco garage two doors down from our House but I wasn't at home at the time. I have a real fascination with mother nature. I would also love to see an active volcano. but probably will not. The one thing I do not like is a earth quake. I have experienced one here in the north west and that was enough thank you. Have any of you got the same fascination or have you experienced Mother Nature at her best/worst. Love to hear about it Robin

I am such a big chicken when it comes to thunderstorms. I usually dive under the covers and put my pillow over my head until it's over with. I think that stems from when I was in second grade. I was out on the play yard, and a lightning bolt struck about a foot from my face. It was pretty scary. As for the rest of mother nature, I have travelled through the states on Route 66, and ended up passing through an area just before a tornado formed and crossed over the highway. I could see it in my rear view mirror. Being in California, earthquakes are obviously a part of life. But I have never been through a major one. My dad did when the one hit over on the coast in 1989 or 1990. He said it was the longest 15 seconds of his life. I was just glad he was ok.

NO I can't really say I have that fascination. When there is a thunder and lightening storm here, the house is old and the lights flicker and that really scares me. Last night my cable went out during the rain but nothing worst than that. We don't get tornadoes or hurricanes here in Montreal, but we have had earthquakes that have caused all the furniture to shake but that is the worst of it. My poor cats get scared though.

Yes!!! that is totally true because of the effects of global weather change, like in my country. We suffer with long days without rain showers, but now we have a storm. This is a good sign that we have some water for the farm - lands, but somehow destructive because it brings forth flash floods and land deformations.I do not want to expe- rienced that the roof of my house be blown away by a power- ful wind, or a container van rolling across the way cause by the strong typhoon. For me, that was very scary than a spooky movie because real stories are really unpredictable.
