No it's bad to cage animals. If they get proper care and love they dont leave the owner. They too need freedom to move

I think it's alright to keep small animals in a cage like hamsters, guinea pigs and rabbits. I don't think they should be left in a cage all the time though. I have a pet rabbit and we take her out of her cage often. It's important for her to get to run around and have some excercize. It also helps you bond more with your pets when you take them out to enjoy them. If you keep an animal in a cage, they should be able to look at the cage as their home and not a prison. Our rabbit will willingly go back into her cage while she's out running around. She doesn't see it as a punishment because she is allowed so much free time outside of her cage. I definitely don't agree with caging larger animals like dogs, cats, or any wild animal. It breaks my heart to see wild animals in cages.

I think it would depend on how large the cage is. I've personally never seen a large enough rabbit cage in a pet store. I use puppy pens for my rabbits and give them 16 square feet of room each. That way, even if I don't have time to supervise them running around the house, they still get to run around and exercise.

Pets should be allowed to raom around freely. If an animal has to be locked in a cage, I don't see it as a pet but more like a prisoner. Birds for example I don't have - birds should be flying around. Fish should be in a lake, sea or dam.
Dogs, well... we have four of them!
