What kind of protection do you have against the criminals?

I lock my doors and sleep with a metal baseball bat beside my bed. LOL
Seriously! I really do have a metal baseball bat beside me!
But I also have dogs that would be totally upset if someone entered my home un-invited. They would be sure to let me know! I don't see them attacking. Because they are really all bark and no bite. Although I am beginning to wonder if Lilly, aka Mini Cujo, would attack an intruder. ha ha

Other than that, I do not have much to protect myself...besides my wits and training on how to take a person down/injure a person.:) Yes, I may be small, but I can hurt someone bigger than myself pretty well. ha ha

The killings, since people use guns-generally-there isn't much I can do (bullet proof vests are very expenstive). Run for cover and throw things, I guess.
Robberies, give them whatever.
People generally leave me alone. Why? I've beaten-up people who have attacked me. My nickname is shotgun because I am a human weapon. I've hit people so hard that they've gone flying without a plane.
People see me in my Civil Air Patrol uniform. They don't know any better, they think I'm in the regular military and they figure I've been heavily trained so that is also a deterant.
But I have had some Martial Arts training. My style teaches to be aware, avoid bad situations, and fight like there is no tomorrow (because there may not be) if you can't avoid and are attacked.
I worry more about getting forced to do things against my will than getting killed or robbed. We all die anyway,sooner or later, and money I can replaced. But if the person has aids or some other condition that can't be cured like herpies, then I worry more about how long my life will seem and how upset that would make me on top of being upset about the original circomstance.
I've been attacked 3 times. Two I got out of on my own and one I had to be rescued. The last one, he was going to all the Martial Art clubs and he knew how to counter any counter I had. But someone came to my rescue, thank goodness.

I keep all my windows and doors locked, and I have a bb gun, but it looks just like a real gun.

I keep several knives throughout my room, there's even one underneathe my pillow, I fall asleep with my hand wrapped around the table.

Our neighborhood's slightly dangerous, but I'm no stranger to danger, lol.
I've taken down people who wanted to murder me before and survived worse..so I think I could handle a burglar okay.

I don't carry any weapons with me, but I recfkon my book bag'd make a mighty fine weapon in a pinch. Since it's always filled with heavy books, papers, and my laptop lol.
