Do you go on field trips with your children?

i am chaperoning 2 next week! LOL One id to the local symphony and the other to an old settlers days reenactment. I'm looking forward to both. The school my oldest daughter attends doesn't have many field trips, but I have chaperones every one that she has had since Kindergarten. I really enjoy it. Tonight is the 5th grade "Rec Night" and I will be manning a station at that too. I think it is important to be involved with your kids, plus it gives me a chance to see who she is hanging out with and talk to her teachers.

well i just wanted to say there should be more people in this world that take their children any ware. There needs to be more fathers in this world other than just baby daddy's. Have a great time with the children their only young once.

I really enjoyed being with the kids on field trips as their laughter and enthusiam was contagious.To see them staring with wide-open eyes at something that is new/spectacular to them was such a rush.Supporting your child as well as the school deserves 2 pats on the back!Kudos to you.

I always enjoy going on field trips with my children. Not only do you get to help make sure everyone is ok but you get to spend the day with one of your children doing something fun.

My son Skylar was in head start again this year and they didnt go anywhere until today,.Next year is kindergarten so maybe there wil be more? But today was a blast...except fopr the beginning..mom got speeding ticket,and so did my sister Amy atthe same time!! they pulled us over!! lol..if we were coming we had to drive and take our kids..so we had to take 2 cars..My car died so i rode withmom..anywho then we got soo lost...but once there it was great..the boys had a great time..and when we came home Sky just layed on the floor and he just went to bed at 8pm lol..thats early..lol..usually around 9..anywho..we went to anamusement park and he rode everything hundreds of times it seems,but his favorite was that big ol' slide that u ride down on the rug thing..and the paddle tug boat..where did you go?

As a teacher, I feel that it is important for parents to go on field trips...if they do their job in chaperoning. I've had a bad chaperone experience where a woman was clearly not watching the kids...anyways...I think it is great that you are involved with your children..it makes them feel special (until a certain age..ha ha!) and the teachers love it...at least I did!
