Cricket World Cup 2007: Who Is The Player Of The Tournament?? |
|
There is one more week left for the cricket World Cup 2007. But who do you think has stood out? Will it be a player from Australia as they have won every game so far? Or would it be someone else?? I personally think from what i have seen so far, Matthew Hayden (Australia) has been consistent in every game. He has also equalled the number of hundreds(3)in this tournament. Do you disagree??

1. easy888 (4323) | 2 years ago | I agree with you 100%, Australia has been playing so well in this world cup just like what glenn McGrathe predicted before the tournament started, but it may be different in the semi final when the games go to sudden death stage,I will also vote for Mathhew Hayden,he had saved australia in one games which he scored something like 180 runs,I forgot who was the opponent, but i remembered adam gilchrist and ricky poting got an early wicket and australian had low run rate,it seems that australia was goign to lose, but thank ou for haydenmhe saved the whole team by scoring a century.

2. milott (2586) | 2 years ago | I feel that it could Matthey Hayden of australia. He has been in tremendous form in this world cup. He deserves that award. He was actually going to be dropped for the world cup because of his poor form but he has proved his mettle by playing superbly in this world cup.

6. mipen2006 (1406) | 2 years ago | I have to agree with all the other posters. I can't see any challange to Matthew Hayden. It's also difficult to see any real challenge to Australia the way they're playing.

| 7. qq2233 (16) | 2 years ago | Matthew Hayden for sure! He's in stunning form. As an opener its really hard to stand your ground and really set the pace for the rest of the team. Gilchrist has tried to mix it up a little, but hes just so inconsistent. Hayden's been able to achieve centuries with ease in most of the games, I reckon the only other player that could contest him is Ricky Pointing. Pointing has been there to pick up the slack at times when Australia doesnt perform well.
