Why do you keep playing all that yaya music that I hate...  

I do believe we are twins separated at birth. LOL... but anyway... back in the day when I used to listen to Saturday Night A-go-go. I listened to Go-go music. I even had a pair of go-go boots I wore to dance in. The radio was in the living room, I didn't have one in my room, or I would have gotten there. Try having the radio on and listening the bebop music of the day. My dad trying to watch "Gunsmoke" or some such nonsense. He would get so mad because I want to enjoy my music. I can still hear him snort his disgust at my preference of music. I finally got a transister radio to have in my room where I could dance to the music and sing my lungs out. They never saw any sense in my kind of music, and I never saw any sense in their kind... but they said my music was noise! can you believe that?

When I was in my youth I loved listening to Aerosmith, Black Sabbath and other hard rock musicians. I know that she really didn't care for me listening to it. I still enjoy Aerosmith and much of the old Black Sabbath tunes. She was listening to old country music at the time.

This is not a generation gap response. I just wanted to share with you th at The Supremes were one of my favorite groups when I was young! Also, I got to hear and see them in person while attending college. Standing Ovation after every song!! Awesome!!

It's nice to hear for about someones background sometimes instead of the normal disucssion, because it tells me more about the person/friend.

Your grandmother sounds a lot like my mums mum. (she) didn't like modern music past what she grew up with, my grandfather liked a wide range of music all up the point he died. (which gave them something to talk about)

For myself, not really I've always liked older music and modern music. I can't stand hip hop, rap which is just thrown out the mouth and I'm not to keen on normal rap. Music which my parents like I do as well, although I walk out the room when my father puts "bob dylan" on. mr poorly sprung voice, with dodgy music (one thing I do become silly regarding)

Youth loves some thing fast and trendy music. Yey yeye music or what ever you call it. I do listen to those fast beats, yo yo yo music which keeps me in a happy mood. My parents don't like the same music when i play that with full volume at my house. My dad always justs comes and switch off the audio system.

Even my cousins and all the children in my family do play some yo yo music at full volume and some times i don't like that. That is the generation gap and the music trends are changing day by day, people are more interested in yo yo music than the slow and pleasant music.
