Yeah, hip-hop is all about lyrics, not just bouncing. Ok, it's not bad that there are some songs you can play at clubs, because I can`t stand club music, house, trance, etc. But all the tops are full with empty hip-hop songs. Those song themes like "money, club, b**ches" are just useless. Nas is one of the rare popular hip-hop artists who write real thoughts. That's why I prefer underground not mainstream. And I don`t care if I say that I like DZK, Hard Target, Shamroc and other underground artists and everyone doesn`t know them. It's their own fault.

I agree with him. If we really love Hip-Hop it will come back alive. "Rappers" (or now, average income people?) like Dem Franchise Boyz and Jim Jones are murdering Hip-Hop like crazy. And rappers from the A too with their wack dance songs. Lil' Wayne thinking he's the best? What! He can't rap about anything and make sense, at the same time. People are just coming out as rappers to get rich, and in some you can defitnately tell. They can't even rap! That is why they need the producers. Nas is one of my favorite rappers. He keeps it real.

I disagree. Look at the Blue Scholars. They are the essence of hip hop. Mainstream rap does not show the values of hip hop and has just degraded into self-aggrandizement and mysogeny. Overall, underground is the best way to go.

i feel i have hip-hop in my veins. i agree with you rappers like soulja boy and all that BS is runing the image of hip-hop but what people have to understand is that thats rap its differnt. del said "its hip-hop its rap it came from the same place" it all depends who your marketing to look at soulja boy hes rich and famous for some wack songs and some dances. he did his thing he obvisly has tons of fans. but if you go to underground or indie websites you will hear alot of good music heres some artists i feel are making a differce www.soundclick.com/reasondisciple (hes a christian hip-hop artist but dont let that stop you from listenin to his message he gained my respect and that takes alot cuz i dont fk with the BS) i want to know how you feel about it let me know you can contact me at czproductions1@yahoo.com if u dont want to talk about it on here. i feel hip-hop is an art and that legends like Big L,O.C,and hieroglyphics get no credit for there work.
