Scrapbooking for fun or not

Do you scrapbook for fun or just so your children will have some memories to look at when they graduate from Middle School, High School or College? Scrapbooking is fun, but very time consuming, especially if you are a mother of multiples or just a mother of more than one child period. Do you get sidetracked when scrapbooking like I do?

I started scrapbooking years ago for my children. I got really good at it. So now I make scrapbooks for others, to make a little extra money.

I would say for both fun and for the memories. I really enjoy scrapbooking. I know once I have this baby that it will be harder to get them done but I will try my hardest. We have a girls night out at my moms to do scrapbooking for a couple of hours. We use to do it every Wednesday but now we just have it once a month.

Yeah, me too. I began scrapbooking when my twins were 4 months old. I have three more months to go to complete their 1st year scrapbook. Now, I took so many photos of them when they were infants that some pages have 4 to 5 photos on each page and I in each of their scrapbooks, I have photos of me pregnant with them on 4 of the pages, then, one each of the opposite pages, I have photos of my twins together in photos so when they see this scrapbook for their 18th birthday, they will be so surprised and in awe at how much Mommy loved to take photos of them and create such sweet memories of them. I think this is what made me so excited to find Once Upon A Family and be a consulant with them. Even though this company is not a scrapbook company, and I am glad, they have the most awesome ideas for creating memories and everyday traditions with little ones and wonderful gifts for baby showers, weddings and whatever...I especially love the growth charts, baby keepsake box, lessons for little ones and precious hand prints book.. Sorry, I kinda go sidetracked there.... As I am writing this, I am looking at my unfinished scrapbooks and saying to myself, "I really need to finish these...."

Oh, we call it as rough book. It is fun to retreive the rough books and go through them at leisure. It brings back many sweet memories...

I started scrapbooking when I started a new relationship and new life in a different area of the country, moved from the South to the Northeast, as a way to remember our special days/events. Then I got my daughters into it! they love it as much as I do. I started out doing it just for fun, for myself....but friends and family started looking at my pages and suggested I start my own business, because there are a lot of people out there that would love to have a scrapbook to pass to there child/children, but they don't have the time or they don't do any type of crafts. If you are interested, send me a message and I'll give ya my website address and you can take a look around.

I just recently started scrapbooking and I love it. I do it for fun and it's pretty relaxing.

Yes, it is fun, but I would not say relaxing. It takes me time to get all my photos in order and get the pages just the way I want them before my twins wake up. Plus, I do have other distractions that keep me from completing my scrapbook for my twins. I have 3 more months to complete and then I will be done!! Yeah!!

well seeing as I don't have children and don't intend to. I do it for fun. I think it is a way to make your pictures fun instead of just a regular photo album. They also make wondeful gifts for friends, so instead of just giving them a photograph, you can give them this fun scrapbook that can include even more memories through journaling and memorabilia added to the pages.
