Doesn't Norton internet security protect from spywares ??  

It happens to me once, I didn't use any antispyware at that time and I could have to find the file, 1st If you using WinXp make system restore for a previous time, not that every file created after that time it will be renamed, 2nd: try to find every file the is created around the time of infection and if you suspect if it is a virus or spyware right-click and properties to be sure that is not Microsoft file, of course spywares files have size about 52kb so any file around this size should be suspected. 3d: there is anti spywares program that could found the spywares, you have to be up-to-date here, I know one program called Zone Alarm with antivirus and Antispyware, there is other programs you can find it on the net. If you still can't find it tell me and I'd help.

I have used norton and what i have found out that its a complete nuisance. Its the worst antivirus software i have ever seen.
You can try Avast home 4 antivirus edition . It is available for download for free on the net and works just fine. Its much much better than norton.
Just google search Avast Antivirus.

Defender Pro 5 in 1 is a good choice. You download updates for the virus definitions regularly like you do with Norton, but they also have an antispyware program, plus utilities to clean up your computer and keep it in top running condition. I purchased my copy of the program from Wal-Mart for around $20, and it included a 1 year subscription to the service.

Personally i believe norton sucks!
Use some other suite, mcafee, avg, anything but norton!

I've used Norton for one day and I found it totally sucks! It runs so slow and can not protect my computer at all! And my friends don't like Norton, either. To be honestly, I don't heard that who like Norton for these 2 years. YaxEid, why don't you try McAFee, it's totoaly, and it runs well on my taplop for a long time. Any way, have a nice day!

Norton is actually a nuisance.I prefer Kaspersky anti virus.It is good.But it's firewall is not good.For firewall i use Zone alarm.Norton and kaspersky will not react to the spywares.I do not remember but i think that zone alarm has spyware security

I don't know if your computer is still infected but if it is google TrendMicro PCcillin Housecall and run their free online scanner. It usually does the trick.

The best antispyware program I know is Superantispyware. Just google it and you will find a free download.

It is a very powerful tool to have on your computer in case of a nasty infection. The free version will not keep you protected at all times but you can run it regularly to clean up your computer.
