How often will you have a body check?

Sometimes I think having a body check every year is not necessary. Sometimes knowing the bad news may give you a heavy pressure, and it makes you feel worse. On the contrary, if you know the illness earlier, maybe you can cure it when it's just at the beginning? So do you think is it essential to have a body check? If so, how often and which parts you will have to check?

I think that early detection and prevention is the key! If there are problems in your family with certain diseases etc. then a check up should occur every year but for everyone I believe a minimum of two years between check ups :) ~Heavens~

I can understand your fears also except I think that not knowing is worse than knowing as then you can deal with it! You can not live your life in fear of the unknown as it may also be nothing! Take Care ~Heavens~

Sometimes I am afraid to hear the bad news. Perhaps it will give me heavier pressure...

I used to have a total check up every year before I was married....especially since I've had a heart surgery as a child and I have been adviced to do it. But I've not had one in the last 8 years. I think I will start having one every year after a couple of years.

Pay attention to the health is good. Sometimes I wonder whether knowing so bad news later will be better. After all, I can't change the fact. Since I don't know about the bad news, I will still live happily.

Hi youless, I donot think you need to have whole health check up every year. What I think is you can go for some assorted checkups which you are afriaid to have desiease or have check up for the deseases which is very much their in your family and you may suppose to get affected by it. some times over cautiousness will also brings you under depression and you will ruine your future due to over cautiousness
