Day 21: Protecting Your Church

Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. Ephesians 4:3 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. COlossians 3:14 It is our job to protect our church unity- soul of felowship - it is the essence, thec ore of how God intends us to experience life together in His church. Practical advice:1. focus on what we have in common, not our differneces. Conflict- is usually a sign that the focus has shifted to less important issues. 2. be realistic in our expectations Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Ephesians 4:2 3. Choose to encourage rather than to criticize - more often than not we almost alawys see the faults and the mistakes and often lead us to criticize other people. Let us focus to encourage and lift up our bretheren to inspire them. 4. refuse to listen to gossip - sometimes this is the cause why people fall apart and its all because of useless gossip that is not healthy. As much as possible we should talk wholesomely so that others who will listen will be blessed. 5. Practice God's method of conflict resolution - sometimes our ways are not based on God, more often or ways to resolve conflict is emoton based. 6.
