How much money do you need to feel financially stable?

I think that $1000 dollars a month would be sufficient for my fiance and I but then again It all depends on whether we are living alone and what things we have to pay for. If we did not have cable, and only the internet plus the light and water bill then I think we could do with $1000 a month, ofcourse that is also counting in groceries. I'm not sure how much we'd have to save though.

For me, one hundred thousand dollars a year equals stability.

For now about $1000/month will do for me. Eventually as I become more independent I'm going to need more than that. How much I need per month will also really depend on where I'm living.
