| |  Oh my goodness! I was just about to write a discussion about this when I scrolled down and there this was! I was going to put a quote from 'Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants' (I know, it's a chick flick, but hear me out) in there: "There's the city and there's the country, and everything in the middle is a waste of land." I totally agree. I hate the subarbs and I hate developments. I love the busy city and the wide open country. I love nature, and I love watching people.

| |  I like the security and convenience the big city provides. But occasionally I want to go somewhere else...small towns are good but I think I cannot stay there for quite a long time since I am accustomed to the convenience a city provides.

| |  I just have to add my 2 cents worth here. I came from a big city. And now live in and around small town. Talk about security and convenience. We have it all. But don't have the lines, like the citys have. But I do now how it feels to have people around all the time. Here its quiet..
Its just what ever ya get used to, right?

| | Well I grew up in a fairly big city. And loved it. 13 years ago moved up north to a small to medium town of 5000 people. At times I loved it, and then again I hated it. Then I was into drinking, and I would go out to the bars and do and say dumb things. Then I would hear about it the next day. Everyone talks. I just hated it..But now I'm older and married and Don't Drink any more.
Now live in a little village of 800 people. Its nice here.
Very quiet. I still miss the city. But I'm used to the fields...And I know only a few people, so no one knows me to talk about me..Ha Ha..for them...Hay... | | | | | | |

| |  I like big cities. I am borned and raised in one and I don't think I would feel very comfortable anywhere else because I got so used to it. Everything is close to me and it's a great deal of convenience. Also, there is more opportunities and more entertainment. Out in the fields are not bad at all, but I don't think I could stand being there for a long time. A vacation of being out in the fields is absolutely fine and peaceful to me.
