How old were you when you got into photography?  

I was young when I became interested in photography. i love to take pictures and never leave home with out my digital camera. I have never owned any sophisticated cameras I just edit mine with photo editors programs. Good luck to your some may he prosper!

My mum bought me a cheap film camera. I wasted the whole first film though because I opened the back of the camera without winding the film in.
I always liked the idea of pictures and bought my dads camera from him when I was 16. I worked in a photographic firm and could get the developing done for free.
I bought my kids cameras quite early on and they are now keen photographers with their digital cameras.

I remember being about 4 when I saw my uncle come out of his darkroom, looking at his film very intently. Right then I knew I wanted to do that too. I got my first little crappy point and shoot camera when I was 9, and by the time I was 1 5, I was taking photography in school, and shooting my teachers and their kids portraits lol.

I didn't get interested in photography until the kids were born. My daughter was 5 when she got her first digital camera. She's loves it. and is quite good. I think there aren't too many kids getting into it these days. I think its a great thing for them to do, it also gets them interested in nature.

I was about that age when I started. We always had cameras around so I just started copying everyone and taking pictures. Now I am addicted to taking pics. I am not a pro nor do I have a nice high dollar camera but what I do have I can sure take some nice pics.

I was still young when I started taking pictures. I use to love to take pictures of my animails when I was a kid. I hope your son does well with taking pictures.

I was only 6 or 7 when my uncle gave me my first camera. It was used, but I thought it was the greatest gift in the world even though I had to wait to get the pictures developed. I think it was called a box camera. It looked like a box, as it was square. I took pretty good care of it for years, and took many pictures of my family, pets, and our house. My uncle showed me how to use the camera, how to handle the film, and how to aim and take a picture. Those old pictures didn't come out as good as the ones we have today with the digital cameras, but they are still nice to have for the memories.

I was young when I first started begging to use my mom's camera, but it wasn't until I was in my teens that it really kicked in that I loved taking photos. By the time I bought my first digital, I was hooked and wishing that I'd started so much sooner. Most of my knowledge comes from trial and error, but I also do a lot of reading articles online to get other people's tips. Kudos for letting your son get involved so young!

My daddy is in love with photography so i have this advantage to get used to with photography so early.
He shows me how to hold, addjust and take photographs when i wa 5 years old.
But these pitures at that time were very amateur and just for fun only.
I am very happy because i got into this early and untill now, i still love doing photography because it makes me save some wonderful moments which just only happen once.

I have had a camera for as long as I can remember but of course this was in the days of film and processing and we couldn't afford to take too many photos but I took a lot of good photos even with my cheap little instamatic camera, but today digital, what a blessing that is, now I have a couple of bands I take photos for of their concerts and such, I usually take approx. 100 shots per gig, it so wonderful not to have to worry about the cost...
