I have been a NASCAR fan since the days of the King, and the Allisons and the Yarboroughs. But NASCAR has come a long way from the days of only the good ol' boys and running barely street legal hot rods.
NASCAR has become a big time, professional sport.
That means bringing in drivers from other tracks, the open wheel drivers, Can-Am, formula 1 drivers. Why is that a good thing?? Because it shows that NASCAR is no longer the RedNeck cousin from the hills. NASCAR is now the big show.
Let's welcome Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Tony Stewart, The Bush brothers, but remember we got Dale Jarret, Dale Jr, Mark Martin, and even Kyle Petty there in the lineup.
It doesn't make NASCAR any weaker. It shows how strong it is and can be.

I have been a NASCAR fan as long as yourself .I can even remember the very first televised event on C B S .I've got to say that the current trend towards diversity is GREAT .Bringing in drivers from the other Racing series should help NASCAR grow stronger around the world and give us fans even better competitors along the way .
Just look at Montoya so far in his rookie season .Once he gets some laps under his belt I really think he'll be amazing .Just hope he does'nt make to many enemies along the way .
P.S. Go Tony Go!!
