Although it's a story line thats been done a few times, this movie was so good. Very touching.
I noticed that it was one of those - based on a true story movies and was wondering if anyone knew if the journals that the kids wrote were actually available to purchase. My son loved the movie and I'd be so interested in letting him read the actual stories from these kids.
I'm really lucky to live the life I do and my children are pretty sheltered compared to some. I'd like my son to realize that not everyone is as lucky as he is.

To answer your question, YES. you should be able to order it on Amazon.com it is called The Freedom Writer's Diary also the actual teacher Erin Gruwell, has written a book as well; you should be able to pull it up by simply writing The Freedom Writer's Diary on there; I hope you enjoy. I truly was inspired by the movie myself.

I would have almost never seen this movie had it not been played during my flight from Philadelphia to Frankfurt. I was plesantly surprised to see the movie and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. The performances were good, but the story was really touching and the best part of the whole movie.
I would recommend this movie to others as well.
