When was the last time you bought something a little out of your budget jut because you wanted it. You didn't need the item, but you wanted to have it. Not a gift either. What did you buy for yourself just because it made you happy?Besides the many fabric purchases I have made, I also recently bought a grey Kate Spade purse that I am in love with!! I have always wanted a Kate Spade purse and I came across a second hand one for a very good deal. It has a stitched on label and the American flag inside of it, so I didn't get ripped off and ended up with a fake.

Just last last week, I bought in multiply a nice thai silk dress. I really loved the cute design of the dress so I bought it. I bought it without anything on my mind on where will I use that dress. I think its one of a kind so I just grab the opportunity to buy a precious item like that. I don't want to regret it later so I go for it he he. I just reasoned out to myself that I can use it in any formal occasion. I have a picture of it. I'll show you.;)

thanks for the compliment. I bought it for only 400 Philippine Pesos. Yes, multiply is also a shopping site. You can check my website and see my contacts there. I have many contacts who sell online. Enjoy! :)

Many people will think this is nuts, but I did splurge on a Dyson Vacuum cleaner. I had a vacuum and didn't really like the way it was working so bought a new cheap one for $100. I had this one for one week and it blew up on me when I was vacuuming! I took it back to the store. I then was going to just use my old vacuum, but decided that I wanted to get a dyson. I got on line and $400 later, I had purchased a new vacuum. I love it!!

I am so jealous right now! I would love to get a Dyson, but the money just isn't in the cards right now. Also, my mother in law recently gave us a brand new vacuum cleaner that has a hepa filter in it and is kind of fancy. It works well, but I would love a Dyson. My husband argues that the only rooms in our new home that have carpet are the bedrooms, so it may not really be worth it. :D I beg to differ...bring on the Dyson!

I love love love the Dyson. Our house was built 2 years ago and so we have all new carpeting also. It was worth every cent. I can vacuum all the stairs while the vacuum cleaner is on the first floor!! It picks up so great and isn't really heavy! I would highly recommend.

Just a few nights ago I splurged by buying some bath and body products at MMU
http://www.mmucosmetics.com
I've been really good with my money for the past month or so, so I felt that it wouldn't hurt too much. I didn't spend much money as I got 10 percent off, plus the shipping was free. This definitely has made me happy as I've been going through a couple of hard days.

I'm sorry that you are having some hard days. Sometimes a bubble bath with some great bath products really can perk me up and I hope it does the same for you :D I love to splurge on bubble bath and lotions and the like, but usually I just ask for some at Christmas time and I am set for the year.

I havent splurged in a long time. The last thing I bought for myself was metal measuring spoons. I bought them in January I think. They were .98 cents. I'm not a big spender.

I have plastic measuring spoons and I really don't like them very much. I should probably look into getting some metal ones. Where did you find them for such a good price?

I bought a new washer and dryer...LOL
I actually needed them, because mine were getting dated, but I culd have bought the cheaper set. I ended up buying the front loaders that cost about $1,000 more than a regular set, but I have already noticed a big drop in my water and electric bill. My water bill went down by about $25.00 a month and the electric dropped about $35.00 a month....they will pay for themselves over a perid of time.
I'm actually happy that I chose to go with the more expensive set.

As soon as we have a home that has hook ups to get a washer and dryer set, I am going to get those really pretty and expensive front loading machines. I hear that they are great for the pocketbook when it comes to the energy and water bill and they are great for the environment. Congrats on your purchase!

Money burns a hole in your pocket does it? LOL I used to be like that, and whenever I have money, I am still like that.

To be honest i'm not much of a splurger, it's probably because i'm a student and i don't have the money to buy anything expensive. The last time i bought something just because i wanted it was at the weekend when i bought a three DVD horror box set. It was £5.99 in Morrisons and it included a movie i've wanted to see for ages.

That is still a splurge. :D You don't have to spend tons of money for it to be a splurge. I remember being a student and the small amount of money that you have to live on, but it is worth it in the end to have your education. Good luck with school and maybe someday your splurges will be more extravagent.

I don't have any spare money to splurge out on myself but recently my partner put in a lot of hours overtime and got a bit of a bonus from work. He told me to get myself something nice, to cheer me up, and we went into the city to check out the shops. There is a leather warehouse in the city where they sell coats, jackets, trousers etc., and they were having a half price sale. I picked up a gorgeous black suede fringed jacket for only £40.

That was very sweet of him. I absolutly love half price sales, we rarely have them here unless you buy one for full price first though.

Whenever I get stress, I would go out on a shopping frenzy. I would buy a few pairs of shoes, make-ups and even blouses. It's a kind of stress reliever eventhough I don't need those things. Sometimes I end up giving them away to my Mum or Sis-in-Law. I think I'd better stop doing this before I go broke!

Well you asked, so I'll tell.
A can of V-8 tomato juice. Why? I wanted it.
I never splurge. It's not in my nature!
If I do splurge, it's for a family get-together, a mother-daughter trip, or something like that.
I prefer to save my money for emergencies...which always seen to happen!

I try really hard not to splurge as well, and when I do it is usuall a gift for my kids or my husband. Sometimes I splurge on the good stuff at the grocery store if there is a sale. My husband really likes fried shrimp, but it is not in the food budget and w can't afford to go out to eat so when it is on sale I splurge a bit and buy him some shrimp.

When my husband got his tax return he offered to buy me a laptop, but I turned it down. I decided instead to buy an iPod video, which has now become my most prized possession next to my computer. I'm glad that I decided to save the couple hundred bucks on the laptop and go with this instead.

I bought two velvet dress coats last Christmas. I adore them! I wear them anywhere- to every job interview, speaking engagement, and so on.

It has been a long time since I splurged because there are just so many bills to pay...but the last time was cosmetics worth over $300. I consulted a Lancome make up artist, I loved my make-over so I bought the stuff. I never regretted it though..it was all worth it.

I think the last time I splurged is on a digital camera. I have always wanted one but it's too expensive. Last month, I saw one that's on sale. THe price was only RM199. Therefore, I bought it. Now I realise I don't really need it because I don't use it often.
I use it to take scenery and self photos.

just this weekind i bought a bounch of clothes for my son. no he really did not need them and being a stay at home mom i really should not spend money on any thing that i do not really need. but if i am going to spend money that i am not suspose to i would rather it be on him.
