Would you say Frank Zappa is a Pioneer of rap music?

As an ex musician myself (piano/keyboards), I have never been a great lover of rap. Having said that I can enjoy a little now and again - some of it's quite good. My musical training was classical, and from there I got into modern jazz, but then later on I played in several soul bands. Going back the 70s there though. ;-)
