Mistakes  

We had the same type of accident happen in our town. There is a road that has huge hill and kids and even adults go flying down it. A girl from my daughters class was kileed when the hit a tree. The other girl is paralized for life. It is so sad when these things happen,things that could have been avoided. I know all teenagers think they are invinceable. Unfortunatley they are wrong.

I like to call it "lacking depth perception." I've noticed this while riding in the car with my youngest sister driving.

Thanks God your son is alive. I don't remember doing these things as a kid and it wasn't that long ago!

Sad story but the lesson is strong...young people do think they are invincible and that they know everything. I was one of those teenagers and I can look back now and see where God was on my side b/c I have put myself in very dangerous situations!! Unfortuantely, a lot of people have to "bump" their heads themselves to actually learn the lesson that so many others already know!!!!

What a tragedy. It is so scary that young people always think they are immortal and that at the moment the fun seeking is most important. I worked as a Ct Technologist for over 30 years. I have seen so many young people in accidents and it is heartbreaking.

Thank you for sharing this. I had never heard of this before. I am sorry to hear about the loss of such a young life. I pray for her family and her friends, and community. I pray that they will feel the comfort of the Lord.

Oh my goodness. What a tradgedy, that is so very sad.
I've never heard of the air surfing. I'm very glad to know as I have 2 teens and will be sure to talk to them about this and how dangerous it is.
Yes, kids do think that nothing can happen to them. Thanks for the information on the air surfing - that is serious stuff and the kind of things we parents need to be aware of.

That is a tragic horrendous accident but as tear jerking as your post was it is not unusual That story could be the same for many countries and repeated several times Here in Canada alone last week 4 Teenagers Killed in Car Crash up north .......Two teenagers killed a railroad crossing at 3am(What are they doing out at 3am ) The story 80 an hour wow what were they doing ..this was an accident intersection they knew existed so i am not pointing blame nor make light of the tragedy but we reap sometimes what we asked for My prayers and sympathy go out to all involved in the tragedy but unfortunately it is not as rare as some may think Good Luck

Oh my gosh. That is so sad and you wrote about it in a very compassionate and loving way. I think all teens think that they are above death. They tent to take way too many chances. We have lost teens in our community that thought the same thing only they were able to meet with death. It always seem to impact the other teens for awhile but after a while, they forget how it happened and they too get brave again. Really sad story. Thank you for sharing it whith me.

How very sad for your whole community. I would venture to say that Tasha herself is hoping that others do not make her same stupid mistake, and that others learn from her lesson. I pray for peace for your community.

I am so saddened by this story, and hope pray that some good will come out of it.

As tragic that this is for the family and friends that knew the girl, I hope it teaches others that dangers of doing the same thing.

I witnessed when we owned a house, a teenager driving down the road, (downhill) with a kid on top of the car...

All I could do is pray that something didn't happen.
