Child Star DR. Phil House  

I agree totally about the mothers, this Dr. Phil house episode is so awful to watch these Mothers, they may not think they are abusing their daughters/sons by pushing too hard, but they are, especially those boys, the younger one doesn't even seem like he enjoys being there, he is so confused and it is so hard to watch what their Mother is doing to them.

I agree. Gracie is very talented, and it was sad to see some of the other moms claiming the competitions were fixed, etc. ALL of the moms are way too invested in how well their children do, and I can see where, for most of the children, the fun is being sucked right out of it. What kind of childhood is that, you know?

I missed all of this one except for the last 15 minutes so I didn't get to see any of them perform. All of the moms are way to pushy from what I saw. I would never put my daughter through any of that. I'll have to watch next weeks show so I can get caught up on the girls and what's going on.

These mothers are control freaks. I can liken it to those parents at the hockey arenas who go nuts, but usually they go nuts at the referees, but they also push their kids too hard. Kids should be allowed to be kids and have fun, not have their parents yelling in their faces all the time. I would rather push my kids to help out around the house more, or read more, but I certainly wouldn't be yelling and swearing at them about it.

I hope when these women see themselves on television they will realize the error of their ways and step back. Probably a look at the Dr. Phil message boards would help them too. Though they think everybody is a critic and everyone is against them, even Dr. Phil. Just who do they think they are?

I agree, I think gracie is the most talented. I think her mom out of the rest was the best also. Gracie does have pressure on her to make rent and stuff, but I don't think its entirely her moms fault. I agree about the bar fly mom too. I think shes in it more for herself then her daughter. She was so mean and nasty to her daughter it was sad. I hope dr phil straightens it out.

Yes the mother you are talking about is just horrible! And she is making her daughter think she is the best thing in the world. Poor thing couldn't sing and her mother thought she was the best. And can you believe that picture of her in some sort of bathing suit/skimpy top? She's only 13.
