What deos this declaration of myLot mean that I have been accepting?

May 16, 2007 8:31am CST
I hereby declare under penalties of perjury that, in connection with the performance of services with myLot, LLC – a limited liability company domesticated in the State of Kansas within the country of the United States of America – I am not a citizen or resident of the United States of America. Further, I will notify myLot, LLC immediately if my status changes. What does this mean? I have just been accepting it the whole time I have been here but I do not kno why it is a declaration.

I would assume that you are not a US Citizen and it just means that if you become one you need to notify MyLot. I am sure it has to do with the taxes we have here in the US that may not apply to where you are.

The U.S. government expect U.S. citizens to pay tax on all earnings from the internet above about $600, many sites require all U.S. members to fill out a tax form before they can get paid, members from other countries do not need to fill out that form. I don't know if other countries need this as well, I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else.

I found that from a number of different U.S. websites, some of which had this stated in their terms & Conditions, (I must have a really sad life actually reading these which usually have a big long list in very tiny writing).

I remember this and it's next to the payment options, as others said I think it's because of tax laws for US citizens, as i remember from other sites they have to declare and pay taxes on earnings they make online if it exceeds $600 a year.

I've never received anything like this and have no idea what it means but would certainly contact admin and ask what it means. But then I didn't pull the little 'thing' you did, LOL so you could be right and they may tend to ignore you :(
