what's your favourite food court in singapore?

ok ok, so food courts aren't the best place for good food. but sometimes you really want an air-con place that is not too expensive. or you feel like local food but no hawker centre nearby.
do you have a fav food court? or do you just go out of necessity if you go at all? is your fav food court your fav cos of a certain stall? which is that?
personally, i kinda like marina square food court. one, cos it's big (crowded foodcourts are awful). two, cos it's got good stalls (including samy's curry). three, cos it's got a good view if you wanna sit outside.

well, if it is a food court, I can only think of is the one at Plaza Singapura, eating the indonesian BBQ chicken leg / sotong rice.
It is situated at a corner of the food court.
The queue is always long at this one, but the food is really good.
If you go slightly before dinner time, like 530 or 6, there is no queue. Cheap, considering it is in a food court, and the good is tasty too.

yah usually if i eat at plaza sing, I'll eat that stall. but dun like plaza sing foodcourt. too crowded and cramped together...

Well, if you go slightly earlier, before the main meal time crowd gets there, it is still okay I guess.
what they really need are some rubber paddings for their chairs! Every time someone moves or adjust the chairs they are sitting on, the sounds make me cringe!
It is sort of like listening to your discipline teacher when she scratches her nails on the blackboard to catch your attention!
Sad to say, the only good stall is that one stall in the food court at PS.

Hmm, food again!. BTW that what Singaporean enjoy rite?. I dont normally patronise food court. I prefer to ta pau my food from home cost at where my working area is the food is expensive. I had been to Marina Square Food Court..and I find them not bad compare to others in the shopping centre. It is still bearable to eat the nasi padang there compare to Suntec City. The view no doubt is good if you have dinner there, but not during lunch hour cost it quite hot to sit outside. Btw, Samy Curry had closed. I like Banquet at Raffles Hospital. The place a little bit cramp though but the food do entice me to keep coming back there.

yah nowadays prices just going up up up! there's this food court at bras basah complex, last time noodles $3, now $3.30. complain to Committee Against Profiteering!! :)

my favourite food courts are those in the Food Republic chain, its really innovative with its design and thematic concepts and the food is really good, pulling in famous hawkers and restaurants in one food court. and the newest one has opened in suntec city and is themed after the european libraries, and i find that to be very exciting!

really? sorry to sound a bit lost and backdated, but where are some of the other food republic food courts? if I remember correctly there's one in tampines mall?
the suntec city one is the basement one? has it been recently renovated? the only food court i know of in suntec was always very crowded - the one with pasta mania at one end. wow - european libraries? that sure is different for a food court!

hahaha, i totally agree with you first sentence.
personally i dun go to food court unless absolutely necessary.
the only exception will be the marina food loft coz of the curry chicken noodles.
other than that i find food court stalls are overpriced and doesn't taste half as nice as food centre stalls.
another one that i might go to is food republic at vivocity coz the food is not bad and not as expensive as the restaurants around.
