Do you think it is right for Christians to be practicing Yoga techniques?

If you do, why? When I was pregnant, I did do some yoga exercises, but when the yoga 'master' would bow his head and say something I did not agree with, I would say in replacement, "I the name of Jesus". But since my twins have been born, I no longer do yoga because I am not really sure what these exercise practices are doing to my mind. The body exercise if very nice, but what might be happening to my mind, I am not so sure of. What do you think?

I think you care a little too much for religion if you even think about something like this... Go enjoy your life and don't think so damn much about the bible. :-)

Well, don't you try and please your family, your friends and your pets or whatever? This is the same concept. I want to do my best to please my Lord, my God. I mean, my language at times is really bad...if I can change the words that come out of my mouth, I can certainly find other ways to please my God because I am not a selfish person.

We in India do not find problem practising yoga for physical health. But we don't subscribe to the beliefs like there is no god and stuff... To my knowledge even many hindus do not connect yoga religion with posture. I would practise yoga if it is healthy for my health, but I won't affirm their philosophy.
