I saw this in my real life, i saw it in many discussions here! How to control this or that, how to control feelings, love, another person. Well...do you think that all this need for control and domination can be very harmfull sometimes? Do you find the thin limit between the discipline, control, domination and terror? Do you think that you are overcontroling person? Or how do you react to any forms of control? In fact: are you a leader in your life or leader of your life? Or do you prefer to be leaded and to give the responsibility to somebody else?

as they say ,to become a very good leader ,he has to be a very good follower.instead of control ,why not learn how to manage because a good leader does not control, he learns to manage things.like us, it is better to know how to manage our responses rather than controlling ourselves to respond in a different manner.the discipline of managing ourselves.if we get to know ourselves better then we know how to react and why do we react that way .so we have now a parameter or basis as to how would react in a situation where it would be manageable rather than controlling.

I think having some self control is a good thing. You just don't want to give in to every temptation that crosses your way. I like to lead my life and make sure I know what I am doing with it.

it depends that on the situation, there is such a thing as too much control, and that is unhealthy just as there is such a thing as leaving it up to everyone else, and that is not healthy either, it is good to have a healthy balance and that is where I am.

I must admit that I am a leader of my life as well someothers life too..lol sometimes!! I cannot depend on any one else!! C'mon I feel depending on others shows your weakness!!And I hate to exhibit my weakness. :P So I like leading my life by myself and there is no harm in taking others advices on the way like your parents, it can be a great help!! I some can act like an overcontroling person but its ok!!People always rely on me coz somewhere I do have a good leader qualites!!Thats what people say.

There is a big difference between self control and domination. I have no desire to control or dominate ANYONE else. But I think people DO need to take responsibility for their own actions, and have self control over their own life. I think it's a waste when people moan and groan and blame everyone but themselves for their short comings. Life is what we make of it. There are times when WILL POWER is required in life. I have a very strong will power and it keeps me focused on what is important, it also helps me lose weight when I can overcome urges for desserts and fattening foods. To each his own, but people need to control their OWN lives and take responsibility.

My personal point of control magica is control for things I am responsible for. That means I am responsible for what I think, how I react, and having control over my personal environment. I am the one who controls what I say, what I think and I have a certain amount of control over how I live. Outside that, my control is given over to a higher authortity. I learned many years ago when I take control, I usually mess things up, so I hand over the control to the one who knows what He's doing.

I don't mind for the most part if someone were to give my suggestions on how I should do something but I don't like to be told to do something. I usually bulk when someone tells me what to do. I treat others the same way. I will make suggestions that I think will be helpful but I try not to tell someone that they have to do what I say. I don't want anyone to treat me this way so I try not to treat them that way either.

This could be exactly right, we are trying to control to much. I don't think I'm a controlling person. But, that could explain why I get so upset when something changes plans I've made, maybe I'm feeling I've lost control.
