Definitely cake. But not cake that is too sweet. Some basic butter cake would probably be best. Soft cookies would probably be good too, as well as other small pastries like doughnuts or bagels.

A smoke! he he he! I used to smoke and I liked it very much to have my coffee with them. But now, I just take my coffee with some cookies such as the rosquillos.

Here in our country the best and the traditional partner of coffee in every morning is "PANDESAL". Its a bread we are eating for breakfast along with hot coffee in cold morning breeze. In our province we prefer "kapeng barako" a native and locally made coffee which I think is know for its strong taste than commercial one. "Kapeng Barako" and "pandesal" are great match up for a breakfast that's being enjoy by most of our countrymen. So if you will ask that question to filipinos you know I think they will have the same answer as mine. If you happen to visit our country, you try it for yourself.

i can see that most serve coffee with cake. i believe that teabread will also be a good partner for coffee. we always have teabread with coffee and/or tea. it is great! tea bread comes in rolls with cinnamon. it is kind of sweet, just mildly sweet. for me, it goes great with coffee and tea, too.

Yes cake is the best for others and it would also depend on the tastes of others as well. Just like you you like teabread. Hope you have a nice day!
