Pricing stuff for yard sales

We are getting stuff together to have a yard sale. I have clothes that I can't wear anymore and some of my son's clothes that he has outgrown and tons of more things. So I'm wondering, should I price each individual piece of clothing or just put them all in a box and put the price on the outside of the box. I'm going to sell my clothes for the same price for each thing. And the baby's clothes I could do two different boxes for. I just think it would be easier than searching through them on a table. So how should I do it?

If they're considerably old, you can probably sell them for around $1 - $2 each. The box is a good idea. Just make sure you don't put anything that you bought for a really high price in there--you should price those things and sell them individually, based on the price when you bought them.

Ok thanks. He's only a year old so his clothes that he has outgrown really aren't that old yet.

When my friend and I had yard sales, we would generally put up a sign saying "Clothing 25 cents unless otherwise marked." The 25 cent clothing was mostly just T-shirts and other stuff that we really just wanted to get out of our closets, and the "otherwise marked" was usually between 50 cents and maybe $5, depending on the item.
I also generally like shopping at yard sales that do their pricing similarly (though not necessarily as low as ours! :) ). It's much easier on the sellers and the buyers, I think. :)
