Not 21 anymore

Yesterday was my parents 35 anniversary. My hubby and I took them out to dinner and stopped at one of our favorite bars on the way home, just for a quick drink. My best friend ended up driving us home at 2am! I feel like garbage today, I'm definately not 21 anymore, but on the other hand I feel good! I danced like there was no tomorrow, overtipped the shot girls and had an awesome time. It felt good to blow off steam. Do you ever just go out and let loose and think the hangover is totally worth it?

We went out last night, I think partly cause I wanted to do something, but the music was good, the drinks were strong, I could tell with the first one, so when we finished our first drink, he asked me if I wanted another, I was considering saying no and let's just go home, but he seemed to be having a good time, so on the third drink when he asked me I said no let's go home, I think I saw a bit of relief in his eyes to be leaving, although we had a great time, and it was nice getting out, neither one of us is 21 anymore and we have so many other things we like to get up early in the mornings to do, and staying out all night drinking makes it hard to do that.

My hubby was surprised that I didn't want to go home early! LOL Usually I do, but last night I coulda had on a shirt that said "Just add tequila" because after a couple shots I was ready to party. It did stink going to get the kids from the in laws this morning though, and my house is so messy.

You killed two birds with one stone: celebrated your parents' 35 th anniversary and unwound yourself. That was great! Your parents must have felt very happy that you spent time together. I think it is more than worth the hangover!

lol-- heck yes- Not very often anymore- but I sure do-- I hate the morning after feeling too- Geesh-- hangovers- that is the main reason I don't drink much anymore- Hey it's all good to go out and have a good time and let it all loose once in a while- Hope you had a ball! And your hubby too!

Man, I haven't done that in ages. It would probably be fun-I miss the bar scene with my hubby, we used to go out every weekend and stay out. But now it would suck in the AM dealing with the kids if I were totally hungover. I should do it though- I need to blow off some steam! Glad you had fun!

Yeah I can totally relate!! It is great to get all the stress out by taking shots =) You get to be free and not worry about anything, it is great and it helps me be a better mom when I have had the chance to go a little overboard sometimes =) After the kids are in bed of course.
