I'm not a very popular mother at times because I wouldn't let my children read the books or see the movies. It seemed everyone else in the world saw/read them but I believe as the person above me said, that there is nothing good in these movies or books. Subliminal messages...hmm maybe but even teaching kids that magic is good is not the right thing. There is a big difference between make believe fairies, elves and harry potter and his black magic Plus having seen some of the film shorts, the scenes are down right frightening for little kids...

Yeah...it doesnt matter if the world laugh us because we are not "in" in their world,as long as we know that its not good mentally to ourselves and loved ones!

Well, it's just a movie. Sooner or later you'd have to explain these things to your children. You can't contain them forever. The best approach is to teach them what these things are. Tell them what is right and what is wrong. That's what parenting is all about.

Harry Potter is just a movie that allows viewiers to enjoy a bit of fantacy. What is wrong with that? We tell our children that there is an Easter Bunny, and that Santa exists so what is wrong with a fantacy world filled with magik, and elves and mythical creatures to open the imagination.
