I haven't tried this kind of meat. Athough there are several ostrich farm in our city, I think its one of the very expensive meat. Have you tried it? How does it taste as compared to other meats like goat. etc?

Ostrich meat is a red meat similar color and taste is a bit like beef. It has a lower in fat grams compared to chicken and much lower in fat and cholesterol than beef. Pretty nice. The one that I taken is stir fried with ginger, spring onion and onion in chinese style.

I've only had it a couple times, but I thought it tasted more like turkey. It's thicker and tougher, but pretty similar in taste.

Wow. I can't believe some of you never ate Turkey? In the US it is done annually on Thanksgiving Day. It tastes nothing like beef, but more like chicken but a little drier.

So do I. I also wonder if the ostrich meat easily tenderize. I hope it has the same grain as that of the chicken since they belong to the bird family. I still wonder until now.
