New Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer

I wasn't all that excited about it until I started to see the previews for it. I'm still not sure if I will see it as soon as it opens here but I know that I will see it before it is released on DVD.

I think it will be really good. We won't have to deal with the whole "learning about their powers" thing, so we should get to see the real superheroes, and get some great action scenes. As far as the switching powers thing, it's not as much of a gimmick as it may seen--to make it legit, the screenwriters have to give it a reason and a purpose. I think it'll be cool (and maybe help mature Johnny a little).:)

I expect to be better than first one. I like chasing scene with Johnny and Surfer from teaser trailer.

I was disappointed with the first one, except for the Thing's adjustment to his new body - but drama isn't what we see these types of movies for. With this movie, I expect more action and "wow" effects, and judging from the previews, I don't think it will disappoint - might be a great film for an IMAX screen, but haven't heard if it will be released at IMAX, though.

i am really excited to watch this movie.I've seen the first episode and I kinda like it.When I saw the trailer of this rise of the silver surfer, I think it's interesting especially the switching of the powers of human torch and the thing.I like human torch character and the actor itself(Michael Chiklis)and also Jessica Alba.I can say the special effects are also good.I can't wait to see this movie.I will surely not miss it when it hits the big screen

I watched it yesterday and it was great! I really liked how johnny had all four powers into one, imagine a fiery stretchy hard piece of rock that you cant even see which of course could fly.

and i liked how they made the silver surfer completely silver you wouldnt even notice that hes a real human.
overall i'd give this movie 8.5 10/10 for jessica alba shes hotttt

This is definitely a kids movie with a simple plot and extremely short running time.

I do think it was better than the first though.

I must say I was pleasantly surprise that the sequel out shined the first one. First one was.. all right but it was slow paced and every character needed to get developed. Some say it was down right horrible but I don't think so. The second installment once again lacked in the story/plot department. It was definitely very comic book like but even comic book motive can be identifiable outside the movie realm. The dialog was par but had some cheesy moments as well. I think F4 can never really be compared to X-Men or Spider Man. With no disrepect the F4 are no match for them at all. It's like dialog, all right, special effects amazing. I am a tad disappointed that Galactus was just an enormous cloud planet eating spectrum. Oh well, it was an effort. Over all this movie is just flat out fun and entertaining. Don't have high expectations like Spider Man 3, then you will just think the movie sucks in general. Although I have to say this film surpasses spider man 3.. shockingly enough. If you go to this movie, have no expectations and just sit back and enjoy this flick.
