Wonderful Homemade Bird House

As my friends on mylot know, my husband is very talented when it comes to making things. I have posted some of his work on mylot already. Many have ask for the directions and I find that it is hard to publish that on mylot as I need to post many pictures to show the process as well as write the instructions. However, I have posted the directions to make the cement bird bath on anonther site.
My husband made many of our Christmas gifts this past Christmas. He made my Purple Martin house that I posted a while back. He also made my beautiful calendar holder. I just love it. He made many bird baths and bird houses for family and friends as well.
I just love this bird house. He made many of them as gifts. He sold a couple to men who work with him. Everyone who received this gift was excited to get it up. To date every bird house that he built has been the home to baby birds. It is always exciting to hear them as well at watch the Mommy bird as she cares and feeds her babies.

I like hearing how handy your hubby is and am glad that he gets positive reinforcement for it. You could post the picture and maybe put the link to the directions!! Am glad that he also made a little money since that can always be used to make more new things. Thanks for sharing it here with all of us.

I love thes projects your husband makes! This bird house is great! He should make more of these craft items he makes for family and friends and enter a craft show- Make some money for all his hard work- I'm pretty crafty also- I have been told this several times - enter the shows- but I find when I have to make things- it takes the fun out- Tell your husband another great job- Homemade- handmade gifts are the Best!

that is neat that your husband is so talented. I love bird houses and bird baths , but we don't have any. I think my cats will chase the birds away anyhow. I was looking forward to seeing the picture that you were talking about but I do not see it. Is it posted some place else on your page ?

You posted your comment from your email. The picture is here. I also added a couple more on some of the comments. You can see them when you come to the article. The notifications that mylot sends do not add photos but you can alwasy see them on the real discussion

oh okay , that is why . Well, I learned something new today . I wonder if how many people miss the pictures that I always post with my discussions . I know a lot of my discussions do not seem to have comments .

Village, that is sooooo cute! I think the idea of a cat for a birdhouse is just adorable. Recently I have really started to enjoy birdwatching. I have serveral feeders and a birdbath, but no houses as yet. My neighbor has an old, dilapidated little house tacked to a fence that one would think birds would not be attracted to. However, it has the most beautiful bluebirds going in and out of it that I have ever seen! I so want a birdhouse!! That is one of my summer goals ...to get a birdhouse!

Perhaps if your started a blog. It is great that he is able to make so many lovely things. Is he happy when he sells things? I know that selling handiwork is not for everyone, for some it takes the enjoyment away from the process.
