Do you usually travel to big cities or resort areas when you travel?

I am wondering if you would prefer to travel to big cities or resort areas when you go on a trip? I love both. I love the scenary, the spa and the beaches in the resort areas. But I also love all the shopping malls and places to check out within walking distance in big cities. What about you?

Big cities can be crowded and very busy. So I like to go to them for just a few days then travel to more unspoilt places. I love stunning scenery like golden sandy beaches and waving palm trees. I adore tropical islands. I don't like very touristy resorts. I prefer a beach with thatched huts rather than a place with high rise hotels. I like to see the local culture and feel that I am contributing to the local people's standard of living. I love to see wildlife, either on land like zebras or under the coral sea like brightly coloured fish.

That's true. I like a combination of both. Big cities offer a lot to see but at the same time they give me stress too just by watching people rushing to work and stuff. I love exotic places a lot too but I do get bored sometimes. So, a combination of both would be enough to satisfy my both needs.

I love too,travelling is a good thing for us,but unfortunately,I do not have time or money to travel.now it is a waste of money and time for me.I think one day after I am better offer than now,I will travel to a new place every year.

Yes that's true! I think it's a "waste" of money when our life is not so affluent and cannot afford to go wherever we want now. But I think it's a really good experience when the day when we can worry less about daily living and go travel to new places arrives. Hope you can achieve that soon!

Although I love resorts, I tend to go to cities when I travel. I am a culture-vulture. I love art museums, the theatre, good restaurants, live music, stunning architecture, and shopping. It isn't to say that I don't like nature...I do. But somehow I lean toward the "big city life" in my travels. I guess it's the concentration of things to do and see. Some of my favorite big cities are New York (of course), LA, London, Paris, and Athens.

Nice! Even though I live in the big city, I tend to go to big cities when I travel too. I haven't been to those you mentioned, but New York, London and Paris is on my list!

I will tend to agree with you, I usually like to be in distance of a city so I can go shopping, unless it's somewhere really beautiful that you can sunbathe all day!
