My Mothers Day Gift To My Mother

In May, gather had its Mother’s Day contest, I could not wait to enter. I wrote my article for my mom. I printed it off and framed it for her as a Mother’s day gift. She received a lot of gifts from my brothers and sister but her favorite was the framed copy of the article. No, she did not tell me that it was her favorite. So you are wondering how I know. My mother has a routine when it comes to gifts. She opens them all and carefully puts each one In a box on the picnic table. Her very favorite, she carries into the house so nobody will hurt or break it. LOL This is what happened at her Mother’s day party. We had an old fashioned roast. We roasted wieners and marshmellows over a outdoor fire. My nephews cut the sticks and we all sit around the campfire and had so much fun. Just like we did when we were kids. After we ate, we gave Mom her gifts. She opened each one, placing each in the box after she thanked the person who gave it to her. Mine, the framed copy of the mothers day article that I had written for gather, she kept out until all of her gifts were opened. She then carried the framed article into the house. LOL I may not have won the camera from gather but I won the best gift award from my mother and trust me that means more to me than all the camera's in the world.
