Do you sit down on public toilets?

Now I'm a HUGE 'germaphobe' and I hate the thought of sitting on a toilet when others have sat on that toilet! So I never sit on toilet seats when I take a pee. Not even in my own house-and I live on my own! It's just habit now, really. But I could NEVER sit on a public toilet, infact I hardly ever use public toilets or other people's toilets; they just seem so unsanitary.
What about you guys? Do you sit down on public toilets when duty calls?

Sit on public toilet seats...absolutely no way. Its yuck and one does not know what germs and bacteria is there. My own house of course I will sit la. I am the one who cleans the toilet and disinfect it. I am not only freaky about public toilet seats but also other people's house's toilet seat. If the house is very clean one then I will sit on it but then again I will use tissue paper to wipe it first.

Wow this discussion sure is old!
What are you afraid of? You cannot contract anything from the toilet seat unless someone JUST rubbed their junk on it and you rubbed your junk on it within seconds. Even if there was something on the seat and it just touched your skin, nothing would happen.
I am not afraid of germs at all... a little pee never hurt me!

I do. I had IBS for many years and trust me you will sit wherever you need to. My mom is one that squats and does not sit on the seat. I can always tell when people before me squatted because they pee on the seat and the floor. Have you ever went to the bathroom and their is pee or poop somewhere other than the toliet bowl? That would be from squatters because if you sit on the toliet that doesn't happen.

I try to avoid them at all cost. Most of them are so dirty and smell bad . It depends on the place too . If I have to go I will put down a cover . I will never go in a fast food place or Walmart , just too sick .

no. i dont sit down in public toilets. i feel i might get sickness by doing that, besides its a bit scary knowing that there is your private part exposed in an unknown population of bacteria and germs he he.
I use public toilets if it is really necessary. There are really clean toilets in malls, of course too many people have used that already so i still dont sit even if it looks clean.
I sit down on our toilet at home, though.

argg... i dont sit down on public toilet. and as much a possible i dont use a public toilet.... errr well not always. if ever i can really hold it any longer i use public toilat but i dont sit. i bought this tissue like toilet seat paper that you can put it on the top of the seat but still i dont seat. there are a lot of sickness or disease you can get on toilets.

when sitting on a toilet, i always have a tissue on me, and i wipe the bowl first. When at home, i sit in it we maintained our comfort rooms always clean. But in the situation that i really need the toilet, i don't know what im gonna do, atleast at that moment in my life i have the time to choose a clean public toilet..haha.
