Are there home remedies or homeopathic supplements with antibiotic properties? |
| |
| I'm not feeling well, and of course, you can't get hold of a doctor on Sunday. Does anyone know any home remedies or homeopathic remedies that can be used to get rid of infection? Something that has antibiotic properties? Thanks in advance for sharing. | | | | | |

| | Hi. I am so sorry to hear that you are not feeling well. Sometimes when i get sick i take vitamin C tablets to heal faster. Echinacea and garlic are also good. Herbal tea will help with colds. I'm not sure what kind of infection you are suffering from or what your exact symptoms are, but you can just do a google search for home rememdies for ---- (whatever you think it is) and you should find tons of herbs, vitamins and homeopathic cures for it that you can just get at your grocery store tonight. I hope you feel better! | | | | | | |

| | In most pharmacies you can find tablets that are goldenseal and eccinachea combinations. These drugs together do have antibiotic properties and I usually take them when I have an ear infection or the like. I would also recomend buying some chamomile tea while your there, because it is a mild sedative and pain reliever that is especially good at helping toothaches. I hope you feel better soon. | | Thanks. I'm still not feeling well or I would have responded sooner, but I appreciate your advice. I found that I have a sinus infection and I'm getting an earache in addition to the mouth pain. Thank you for the well wishes. | | | |

| | This is good advice for tooth trouble. Warm water and salt rinses and follow it with a peroxide rinse or peroxide based mouthwash. I appreciate the ideas. | | | |

| | I use a combination of Vitamin A, C, and E. The 1st day - take 3 capsules of Vitamin A, 2000 mg of Vitamin C, and 2 capsules of Vitamin E. 2nd day - only take 2 capsules of Vitamin A and the same amount of the others 3rd day - just take 1 capsule of Vitamin A and the same amount of the others Usually the infection is either gone or under control by the end of the 3rd day. I continue to take 1 capsule of Vitamin A, 1,000 mg of Vitamin C and 1 capsule of Vitamin E for an entire week after that to make sure what ever it was is gone. Vitmain A is a great antiviral; BUT, it can be toxic if you take too much for too long. So taking 3,2,1 and then staying at 1; gives it the initial "punch" you need and then tapers down to a safe, sustainable level. The Vitamin C and E are great antibacterials and you can take those levels safely anytime. | | | | | | |

| | Excellent. Thank you. I need to institute a good vitamin regimen anyway as I have been slacking on my vitamin C intake. | | | |

| | Glad to be a help. Unless you have a bad habit (smoking, alcohol, etc.) or a specific health condition (allergies, diabetes, etc.) that needs treating: all you normally need is 1 good multivitamin/mineral pill per day. That will make sure you stay healthy most of the time and keep you from getting any deficienies. | | | |
