I created a montage video of my son's first year with software called Photo Explosion Deluxe. There is a movie maker feature on it, and I was able to create a file that will run on Windows Media Player. The file is a .dat file, whatever that is. I opened the file in Windows Media player and chose "save as" to attempt to save it in either .wmv or .mpg formats. I think I succeeded, since the file will run in the player. However, I've been attempting for the last 2 hours to upload this video on to youtube.com and it just wont go. I've never uploaded a video there before, so I'm not sure if it's just lagging, or if it's my video. The upload progress bar gets to 100% and just hangs up. I've tried several times, and nothing is working. The video is 81MB and 8 minutes long, so it does meet the requirements.
For those that use youtube, is it my video or is it youtube that is lagging?
Thanks for helping!

I have no idea. I thought that the windows player would save it correctly, but it did it as a .dat file-- so i tried to resave myself. The newly saved file, did play in the player.
I'm going to try again tonight before I go to bed and let my upload go all night-- maybe it's just taking a long time.
I really wanted to get this video online!
Any ideas on what I can use to convert it or save it?
