Do You Give Alms To The Poor People In Slums?

poor people - do we have to give alms to them??

Because they say that giving alms to these people will make them used to it and they won't make an effort to strive to earn money. We only make them DEPENDENT on us if we give alms on them. What do you think?

Most of the times I have lend my helping hand to those living in slums and begging. Sometimes I have felt that I am giving alms to a non-deserving beggar but who knows if he's the one who needs my alms the most. I feel happy by seeing a smile on their faces and at the end of the day, I guess, that matters!

I am sure some of them will use the system that way. But when you have no money. It is really hard to make money without a handout from time to time. Haven't you ever needed help doing something? It is the same with people who live in the slums.

it is true that many scroungers are uncapable or incompetent to work however there are enormous numbers of people who are not inclining to work and scrounging money for granted. this is what i resent the most - hustling kind people's harvest! horrendous snakes :(
