Tissues or handkerchiefs? |
|
Here's an exciting question for you- do you prefer to use a tissue or handkerchief? When I was young, mum would always give me hankies but now that I'm older I realise I prefer tissues. Although the reason I thought of posting this discussion is because my fiance and I both get terrible allergies and we're always blowing our runny noses on tissues. I always keep my side of the bed tidy and pick up my tissues every morning but he doesn't and as a result there's about 20 crumpled up tissues on the floor and it's driving me crazy! I think I might ban tissues from our room and make him use a handkerchief instead!

I much prefer tissues cos if you got a real runny nose I can only imagine how horrible a fabric one would get. I like the ones that come with balm on them cos they make your nose nice and soothed.

3. AmbiePam (10306) | 1 year ago | I'm a tissue person. Of course my dad always has a hanky, but I like the tissues. They are more hygenic than hankies. Of course, if you use a lot of tissues a person needs to be vigilant in throwing them away. Left out they could spread germs, as well as being gross to look at. I'm afraid every time I go see my parents, their are quite a few used tissues sitting on the Computer Desk, from my mom.

4. wdiong (1584) | 1 year ago | I prefer using tissues to a hankercgiek especially if I am having a runny nose. It so yucky having to wash the mucus filled hanky and I think it's is more hygienic to throw away the tissues after they are used.

I prefer the tisues with aloe vera in them, as they are gentle on my nose. My husband on the other hand, prefers hankys. I a always washing & ironing them. People give him hankies for presents, so he has heaps of them.

6. velvetprinzess (1012) | 1 year ago | Yeah, I think I can identify with this.:) I too feel that it's more hygienic to use tissue paper than to reuse a handkerchief. So that's what I prefer to do. Tissues can be used just once and then thrown away. Then I can just take a brand new piece when I need to. I definitely prefer tissue paper for hygiene reasons.

I think that is kind of nasty to keep reusing it until you wash it. It is too much maintenance to blow your nose in a handerchief, because you have to wash them constantly because they are filled with germs. Tissues all day.

10. whyaskq (4262) | 1 year ago | I prefer to use tissues because it is meant for use and throw, thus more handy and hygienic. I use the towel type of handkerchief when I go for exercise. It is more economical as I would need lots of tissues. I only need to wash and dry the handkerchief for next reuse.
