why is it people curse? as a teen do they think it makes them macho or attractive? do you think it's extra unattractive if women curse? i was raised in a non cursing house and when i first got married was appalled when my husbands family got together and they were all cursing in everyday language. i just couldn't, and still don't understand how it becomes common place for someone to curse, especially a female. what are your thoughts on cursing??

It's just so done nowadays, everyone curses and it's practically a way of communication. It used to be that people only did in anger, but now it's done in happiness, excitement, sadness, anger, you name it. It's quite sad, little kids pick these words up from adults and start using it. It's just slowly degrading our nation as a whole, I mean we can't even convey our feelings or emotions without having to curse! It definitely lowers my view of a person who constantly does it.

i dont like people who curses a lot. i dont think they are macho or attractive. its one kind of repelant and i think whatever comes out of our mouth says too much about us. its like when you talk and curse a lot, you have nothing good to say and does not know anything at all.

I don't like cussing, and I don't do it. When people around me cuss I just get irritated and wish I had the guts to say something, but I don't. Just recently on a trip I was standing in a ride line at Knotsberry Farm. A group of litte boys were behind me and my friend, none of them could have been older than 10! They were talking like little gangsters, little punks, and than one said the F word! I was SHOCKED! I hate cussing, and I find it highly unattarctive, and immature!

Depends on how its used, i dont curse to much and often when i curse its because im pissed at something. Ive never thought of cursing as something cool or macho. I like using curses that require some extra thinking, especially when i use the names of old heathen gods or something that has a connection to the thing im angry about. But ordinary i use the words a**, sh*t and hell the most, and sometimes in combinations of them. But often im against any overusage of curses, and feel that curses are best used sparsely.
